Designing Universal-themed Jackets

I never could have envisioned what this year would become, but despite everything, I still think it’s important to make the most of the situation. I recently learned about an organization called Fueling the Fearless that partners with local restaurants to prepare meals for frontline workers. I was so inspired by the mission, and the organization which found a way to positively impact so many people at once.

I took an opportunity to participate in a fun, safe quarantine activity, and tried to make a little positive impact of my own. Zan and I crafted Universal-themed jackets and selected two winners to would each receive one of the jackets. The requirement for entry was to donate to Fueling the Fearless. Our two winners were William Bryant and Sasha!

Zan and I both went very different directions with our jackets, which you’ll see in the video. Zan was inspired by Frankenstein and the classic painting The Creation of Adam to create a masterpiece of her own. I went the family route, and added a ton of sparkles, to commemorate the Laemmle Faemmle.

I’d love to see you all create Universal jackets of your own! Send me pictures if you do. Here are the supplies you need:

  1. Denim Jackets

  2. Zenacolor Acrylic Paints

  3. Hotfix Rhinestones

  4. Hotfix Tool

  5. Benicci Paint Brush Set
